Title

Building of the Slovenian urban village along public transport routes

Abstract

Settlement of Slovenia is becoming more and more dispersed and irrational concerning public interests and principles of sustainable development. The author reflects of further “automobilisation” of Slovenia, changes in population numbers and distribution, as well as measures for rationalising the settlement structures and movement. Possible measures for dealing with the present conditions are the establishment of optimal settlement patterns and public transportation systems. The presented ideas are illustrated with foreign and domestic practical examples.
