             The icon of city in digital culture
              
                 Abstract
                 Key aspects of digital technology are not visual, therefore to describe the representations of city in digital culture, it is necessary to relate to new media as a meta-language. The paper analyses formal, structural and social characteristics of mapping of cities in virtual environments.
