Title
The rudiments of the national strategy of regional development
Abstract
The strategy of regional development should promote a more balanced growth of regional centres. With a two level territorial organization the goal of balanced development is easier to achieve. Nevertheless, regional development is considerably affected by new technology in production and consumption activities. One could argue, that in the transi- tional period, the activities in large centres are more adaptable, while in small centres adaption might take a longer time and at least temporarily limit the possibilities of pericentric development.
