Title
Urbanisation processes in Slovenia and their effects on urban networks
Abstract
The article presents processes of changes in the structure of settlement systems in Europe and Slovenia. Hypotheses that have to be given adequate respect as starting points in the development of the urban system follow particular levels of discourse, from the European and national, regional level to the local level. Thus directing urbanisation is different on different levels. Two examples of directing urbanisation processes on the local level are presented, for the functional urban region of Ljubljana and the municipality of Domžale. In conclusion ideas about measures and instruments for achieving urban development policies are shown.
